Jeep tour covering the west coast, starting in CampanĂĄrio, situated in the south coast of the Island.
The morning is usually spent exploring the south western coastline around the areas of Ribeira Brava and the picturesque village of Ponta do Sol (old roads), enjoying the amazing southwestern cliffs.
After coffee, we start âclimbingâ almost from sea level to 1500m altitude, up the old roads and dirt paths to one of the west tourâs main attraction, the plateau, Paul Da Serra, were we can see the wild life co-habiting with cattle grazing quietly.
If the weather permits, we will walk in a section of a levada for about 30/40 minutes (optional).
We will have to cross the only plateau in Madeira, called âMadeiran tundraâ direction Porto Moniz and If the weather is good we will spend a fair amount of time up here taking in the unbelievable views from above the volcanic valleys, formed during the 3rd phase of eruptions that created Madeira island.
For lunch, we will stop in Porto Moniz, where we can take a swim in the famous vulcanic swimming pools or simply explore the Village

After lunch in a family-owned restaurant we make our way back to Funchal driving along the wild North Coast Villages and amazing waterfalls.
